Personal Evangelism |
|
"Personal evangelism to me is just sharing the wonderful news of Jesus Christ and God's awesome plan for us. There are so many questions, problems, perversions and torments in the world today, and we as Born Again Christians have the answer! Sharing our faith with others is no different from giving someone directions when they are lost, telling them about the best restaurants when they are hungry or sharing a home remedy, medicine or favorite doctor with someone who's ill. Why on Earth would we keep something as wonderful as salvation and the ultimate Book of Promises, the Word of God, a secret? There's nothing mystical or high-tech about it - just share what you know. The key, however, is knowing. To be effective with personal evangelism, we must "study to show ourselves approved unto God... workmen who are not ashamed." We have to know what we're preaching about by studying God's Word regularly because there is so much power in His Word alone. We don't give it power; we just speak it with surety and compassion and allow the seed to be sown. God will do the rest. Speaking with compassion and being an example add to our witness because it shows that we truly believe what we say, and others are able to "see" the Word in action. There are so many people out there who are lost and looking for the Answer. It's up to us to reveal it to them. And we don't have to force it on anyone. God isn't forceful, neither should we be. The harvest is plentiful. Many would willingly, easily receive if Christians would stop keeping Jesus a secret and share the Good News! Many of the souls I personally have led to Christ were easy. They had some problems, I told the Solution and answered some questions, and they said "Okay!" They just needed to know. Share God with people everyday in everything you do and say. They'll see Him and want some! Then you sock it to 'em!! People are watching you whether they act like it or not. Next time someone shares a problem, share the real solution in a loving, compassionate way. Next time someone starts a gossip chain, say "Wow, I'll be praying for that person" instead of "Really?! Tell me more." God loves us and wants us to have an intimate relationship with Him. Talk about and to Him in normal, everyday conversation. Let others know how much you and He love each other. Before you know it someone will be asking you to pray for them about something or asking your opinion on something related to Christianity. People cry out in different ways. Look out for signs of someone needing help whether they realize it or not. Share what God has done for you and what you know to be the truth. If they decide to receive Jesus or be more dedicated to Him - Great! If not, you've done your part. Your open show of Christianity will remain with them and may also help bring other Christians out of the closet. What a wonderful epidemic that would be! Bottom line: personal evangelism is just sharing the wonderful Word of God through your lifestyle, your actions (or reactions!) and your words. Openly, readily share God's solutions and promises - then get that sickle ready for the harvest!!"

"And He, Christ, gave some to be apostles, and some prophets, and some evangelists and some pastors and teachers." The word of Eph 4:4 says "There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling." Today, I have accepted the call - the call from my Father to be an evangelist for His people. I have nothing but a burning compassion, thirst, and hunger to preach the Good News (the Gospel). There is nothing as awesome as a sinner surrendering their life to Jesus as their personal Savior. God made it clear what the purpose of my call says. The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, (all of his evangelists) because He hath anointed me (the Evangelist) to preach the Gospel (His Good News, His Word) to the poor; He hath sent me to (Go and out reach) heal (encourage, exhort, and lay hands on) the broken hearted. To preach deliverance (where they will be released, set free from bondage) to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind (so that they could see again a new life). To set at liberty them that are bruised, oppressed, crushed, and down trodden at their lowest estate. (Luke 4:18) How can they hear without a preacher? How can he preach (how Jesus wants to save, love, heal and set you free) unless he's been sent? As a

Can I make a difference in someone’s life? Can I share God with them and make it plain and simple so they will understand its simplicity? I am just a vessel being used by God to share His will, even if it’s just for one person. That one person is very important to God. I find that when I share the word and then watch God move as I walk in the word, that people are reading me. Talking about God is one thing, but when you walk in God’s word, you are read more than what you have said. As I talk to someone and share God’s word, I find there are things that God will speak through me. God gives me what to say and how much to say and sometimes nothing to say, or just listen. Personal Evangelism means exactly what is says (Personal), because you are the person that can become personal with your brother or sister and evangelism is you. Your talk and your daily walk in God’s word is Personal Evangelism.

Affirmations to our Faith in Christ |
|
Living by Faith Faith is like a muscle, because the more it is exercised the more it will develop. No exercise however equals no growth. Living by faith is a lifestyle. Romans 1:17 “The just shall live by faith.” It is very important that we eat daily to empower our physical body; likewise, we need to exercise our faith daily to empower our spirit. Our faith should be exercised daily by what we think, say, and, do. What we think about during the course of a day will determine our success or failure. Philippians 4:8 tell us to think on things that are true, honest, just, pure, lovely, and are of a good report. We must exercise our faith by choosing to fill our minds with these things. If we fail to do so the enemy will fill our minds with lies and deceit. John 8:44 say the devil is the father of lies, and there is no truth in him. We must choose to fill our minds with Godly thoughts because as a man thinks, in his heart, so is he. (Proverbs 23:7)
When I was growing up, I often heard people say “action speaks louder than words.” Our action should display what we believe; however, many Bible-believing Christians are displaying contrary actions. Many Christian go to church regularly to hear the word proclaimed, and often wonder why there is little or no change in their lives. James 1:22 says “But be ye doers of the word and not hearers only.” In plain talk, this means I must do the word; otherwise I deceive myself. When I change things will change. To have something different, I MUST DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT. TAKE ACTION. Thoughts have no life until they are spoken; therefore, we must cast down the ungodly thoughts. We must speak only the godly thoughts and take corresponding actions. Faith is in my heart (my thoughts) comes out of my mouth and is walked out daily in a lifestyle. Exercising my faith daily brings me to the place of GREAT FAITH! By Alonzo Coleman Sr. Understanding Your God Given Authority One of the
believers' greatest needs today is the understanding and utilization
of their God given authority through Jesus Christ. Jesus' primary
purpose in coming to earth in human form was to destroy the works of
the Devil. We must never forget what Jesus did to restore the
believers' authority. He went to the cross. He suffered the full
curse of the Law, which is poverty, sickness, and spiritual death.
He became sin and suffered in man's place. Now, man has authority
over beings in the earth, in heaven, and under the earth. As a believer you need to use your authority by speaking His Word against the circumstances of your life. For too long believers have sung songs of unbelief and spoken words of doubt. “I'm just a weary pilgrim trudging through this world.” Oh no!! We're not weary pilgrims. We were strangers and foreigners, but not any more. We are joint heirs with Christ Jesus!! When someone asks how you are doing, stop saying “I'm doing fine under the circumstances.” Why are you under the circumstances? God gave you authority over everything in the earth. II Peter 1:3 states: “ According as His divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him that hath called us to glory and virtue. This means now, not in the sweet bye and bye. He has already done it!! “ Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him.” (Hebrews 2:8) Since He put all things under him, there is no more to be put under him. As far as God is concerned it is already done. God created man to be god over the earth. “The heaven, even the heavens, are the Lord's: but the earth hath He given to the children of men.” (Psalm 115:16) Since God gave the earth to man when things get out of line it is man's responsibility to put it back in line. One should not just give up and say “it's God's will.” No , God's will is that you should prosper and be in good health, even as your soul prospers. So use your faith and change your circumstances. Since it is each believer's responsibility to be a minister of the gospel, each of us should make it a priority to share this gospel truth with others. “For He hath made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him. (II Corinthians 5:21) “Now unto Him who is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us , unto Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus through all ages, world without end. Amen.” (Ephesians 3:20-21 By Rose Lyons Smith Spiritual Employment
Just ask and you will receive. You don’t have to worry about getting fired. He said “whosoever will let him come and I will in no wise cast him out.” No experience necessary. Come just as you are and he will supply all your needs according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. If you accept this job, these are your duties: Preach good tiding unto the meek, bind up the broken hearted, proclaim liberty to the captives, open the prisons to them that are bound, proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord and the day of vengeance of our God, and comfort all that mourn. You have a helper and he is called the Holy Ghost. He will lead you and guide you into all truths. There are plenty of openings, so bring all of your friends and neighbors. You should even bring your enemies. By Herman L. Jacobs
