The Church is a group of people who have been called out from the world, redeemed by the precious blood of Jesus, and regenerated by the power of the Holy Spirit. The people who compose the church of Jesus Christ have committed themselves into God's hand. They gladly accept His will and gladly do His will. The Church boldly stands on earth for Jesus to maintain and establish His testimony.

The function of the Church of Jesus Christ is two-fold. The mission as given by the head of the church is:
        Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved.

Jumping Run Church is a Bible-based, Holy Spirit-filled, Holy Spirit led teaching ministry. The God-given purpose of this ministry is to be a Christian Training Center for this region. The mission of Jumping Run Church is to make and develop mature Disciples of Jesus Christ for Christian service and the work of the ministry.
(Ephesians 4:11-13)

The Amplified version says, "we must learn what is vital". There is a need in the body of Christ. It is to learn what is vitally important. If something is vital, that means that it is necessary for life. Jesus said, “the words I speak to you they are spirit and they are life". The Bible says that, “it is in Him that we live and move and have our being.” All other things outside of God and His will are really insignificant and unimportant. We must learn the vital, and approve and prize that which is excellent and of real value.

Our vision at Jumping Run is to be a church of excellence. To obtain excellence, there must be a strong commitment to the things that are vital to our Christian walk. Those things includes: Prayer, individual and group Bible study, personal devotion time, praying in the Holy Ghost to build ourselves up on our most holy faith, faithful church attendance, and witnessing.

As we learn to sense what is vital we also learn to distinguish the moral differences between the highest and best, as well as, the insignificant and unimportant. We must lay aside every weight and the sin that does so easily beset us. Many of us would never dream of missing our favorite television program or missing a Sunday afternoon nap, but we will miss Sunday evening healing school, or Thursday night Bible Study. We would never be late for work, but we drag into our new member classes, and special study sessions. It is time to learn to sense what is vital.

God truly is our all in all. Let us seek His kingdom with our whole heart. Let us go on to perfection and press into the kingdom of God with all diligence. God has promised us that he will add all things needed unto us.
